Chester Bennington’s Wife Talks About His Death

I’m sure we all have heard the unfortunate news of Chester’s death and it’s something that will take a very long time to heal from. Everybody that has known Chester personally was just as shocked as all of us fans were. Mike Shinoda, who was basically his brother, was talking about how weird it was to not have Chester by his side anymore. It seems like Chester’s wife Talinda has finally broken her silence on her husband’s suicide.

“One week ago today, I lost my soulmate and my children lost their hero-their Daddy. We had a fairytale life and now it has turned into some sick Shakespearean tragedy. How do I move on? How do I pick up my shattered soul? The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left. I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well. My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive. He was a bright, loving soul with an angels voice. And now he is pain free singing his songs in all of our hearts. May God Bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain. Chester would’ve wanted us to do so. Rest In Peace, my love. Always, Mrs. Talinda Bennington”

Today, Ariel (from the band Icon For Hire) made a video talking about Chester’s death. Explaining that it took her so long to make a video on it because she cried all week. Chester was her biggest inspiration in music and life. He was the reason that little Ariel wanted to be a singer when she grew up. If his music never touched her ears or her heart she didn’t know where life would have taken her. She would have still been depressed about life and she would probably have never become a singer. Now her band is one of the biggest in the world and she is paying it forward. Inspiring other people just like Chester inspired her. Hearing a story like that makes this so much more sad than it already is. He helped us through hard times and it’s a shame that we couldn’t help him.

I want every musician who is reading this who was inspired by Linkin Park to pay it forward. Help inspire your fans who look up to you just like Chester inspired you.
